Beta software
PII Redactor 0.1.2 is a beta application. It is provided for evaluation and may contain defects or limitations. No service level, maintenance period, compatibility beyond the documented Windows x64 setup, or future release is promised.
Review and responsibility
Automatic detection and OCR can miss sensitive content or produce incorrect suggestions. The user must review every page, correct the marked areas, approve export, and inspect the resulting PDF. The software is not a substitute for professional privacy, legal or security review. Do not share a document unless you have verified it is appropriate to do so.
Local 30-day period
A 30-day use period starts on first launch and can be extended by another 30 days at no cost, repeatedly. Dates are stored on the device. This offline, clock-based reminder is not a license or a tamper-resistant restriction.
No AI service or purchase flow
The 0.1.2 app does not connect to an AI service. Pricing on this preview is illustrative; no paid plan, checkout, account or subscription is available. Beta access is currently free.
Installation and updates
The separate Windows 0.1.2 installer is unsigned. The application includes a Check for Updates menu item, but it remains inactive and makes no network request because no trusted HTTPS release source and independent verification are configured. The website links to the Windows 0.1.2 beta installer hosted on GitHub Releases. The installer is unsigned. Verify the published checksum and manually review every redaction before sharing a PDF or uploading it to an AI service.
Third-party components
The Windows package includes third-party PDF, image and OCR components. Their licenses and redistribution obligations must be reviewed before public distribution. This page is not a license grant for those components.
