A few practical notes about the current Windows beta.

Why not just ask ChatGPT to remove personal information?

Because by the time ChatGPT receives the document, the original personal information has already been uploaded. PII Redactor helps you redact that information locally, before sharing the document.

Are my documents uploaded to your servers?

PDF preparation is performed locally in the Windows application. You do not need to upload your original PDF to our website to redact it.

Does it work with scanned PDFs?

The application supports OCR for scanned PDFs. Recognition quality depends on the scan and the document's contents, and OCR may miss text. Review every page.

Does it support Hebrew?

Yes. The Windows application supports an English or Hebrew interface and includes Hebrew and English OCR data. Recognition still depends on document quality.

Can I manually redact information?

Yes. You can mark additional areas and review or adjust redactions before exporting. Check every page and inspect the exported copy.

Is automatic detection always accurate?

No. Automatic detection can miss sensitive information or incorrectly identify content. Manual review is required; do not rely on detection alone.

Do I need an account?

No account is required for the current local beta version. The website has no sign-in or payment flow.

How do I save the redacted document?

After reviewing the marked areas and approving export, choose where to save the new PDF copy. Open it and check every page before sharing.

Is PII Redactor free?

The current beta version is free to use. The pricing plans shown on this website are illustrative and are not available for purchase.
